Spiral Stair Tool
The Spiral Stair Tool is a tool for creating shapes in the form of spiral staircases.
How to use
The basic shape creation tools in the Primitive Shapes group can create shapes in two ways.
Click-Drag
to create, edit- Create and edit using One Click Build
Create and edit by clicking and dragging
- Select the Spiral Stair tool.
- Create a circle of the desired size by
clicking and dragging
it to the desired location in the scene. - Once it is the size you want, release the
click
and move the mouse to create a mesh with the desired stair width. - Then
click
again and move the mouse up to generate a mesh at the desired height. - Once you have the desired height,
click
again to finish creating the mesh. - Adjust the height of each step by adjusting the Step Height among the properties of the Spiral Stair tool.
- The value of Step Height determines the number of steps in the staircase.
- Adjust the remaining properties of the Spiral Stair Tool and select the element, or press another tool to finish.
You can continue to fine-tune with the Spiral Stair Tool's Properties until you select an element or press another tool to finalize.
One Click Build and Edit via Properties
- Select the Spiral Stair tool.
- Enter the desired values in the properties of the Spiral Stair Tool.
- Press the One Click Build button to add the shape to the scene.
- Make any additional adjustments to the Spiral Stair Tool's properties and select the element, or press another tool to finish.
You can continue to fine-tune with the Spiral Stair Tool's Properties until you select an element or press another tool to finalize.
Properties
Radius
This property sets the distance from the center of the spiral staircase to the inside of the staircase. In other words, this property sets the inside radius of the stairs.
Width
This property sets the width of the generated stairs.
Height
This property sets the overall height of the generated staircase.
Angle
Property that sets how much the entire staircase is rotated.
Curvature
This property sets how much the spiral staircase is rotated.
A value of 360 means that the beginning and end of the spiral stair will be exactly connected.
Step Height
This property sets the height of one step in the staircase that is generated.
The value determines the number of steps in the staircase, which affects the number of curved surfaces.
Display
This property allows you to choose how the mesh is displayed.
XRay Mode
Displays faces as translucent.
