Box Tool
The Box tool is a tool for creating basic shaped boxes.
How to use
The basic shape creation tools in the Primitive Shapes group can create shapes in two ways.
Click-Drag
to create, edit- Create and edit using One Click Build
Create and edit by clicking and dragging
- Select the Box tool.
- Click and drag the mouse on the scene to create a base of the desired size.
- Once the base is created at the desired size, release the click and move the mouse up to create a mesh at the desired height.
- Once you have the desired height, click again to finish creating the mesh.
- Adjust the Box tool's properties and select the element, or press another tool to finish.
You can continue fine-tuning with the Box tool's properties until you select an element or press another tool to finalize.
One Click Build and Edit via Properties
- Select the Box tool.
- Enter the desired value in the Properties of the Box tool.
- Press the One Click Build button to add the shape to the scene.
- Make any additional adjustments to the Box tool's properties and select the element, or use another tool to finish.
You can continue to refine the properties of the Box tool until you select an element or press another tool to finalize.
Properties
Width
This property sets the width of the shape being created.
In the direction corresponding to the Z axis relative to the object, in meters.
Depth
This property sets the vertical size of the generated shape.
This is in the direction of the object's base, along the X-axis, and is measured in meters.
Height
This property sets the height of the generated shape.
This is in the direction corresponding to the Y axis, relative to the object, in meters.
Width Segs
This property sets the number of horizontal segments of the generated shape.
Depth Segs
Property that sets the number of vertically split pieces of the generated shape.
Height Segs
This property sets the number of pieces that are split for the height of the generated shape.
