Pelt Tool
The Pelt Tool in the UV Editor is an unwrapping tool that gradually relaxes the internal UVs based on the boundary of a UV island to create a smooth and natural layout. With options such as boundary movement and relaxation methods, it provides flexible and organic unwrapping results.
How to Use
Select the UV points you want to unwrap.
Run the Pelt Tool repeatedly to relax the points.
The selected UVs will unfold smoothly.
Properties
Iterations
Specifies how many times the pelt process is repeated. More iterations result in smoother relaxation.
Pelt Strength
Controls how strongly the UV points are relaxed in each iteration.
Apply Distance Weighting
Determines whether to weight the relaxation based on the distance between connected points.
Should Init Center
Specifies whether to slightly contract the initial UV positions toward the UV island's center before relaxation begins.
Allow Island Boundary Move
Determines whether the boundary UVs are allowed to move during the relaxation process.
Max Edge Length
Sets the maximum distance that boundary UVs can spread from the center of the UV island.
Boundary Springs
Sets the pulling force strength at the maximum distance the boundary points can be stretched.
