Plane Tool

The Plane tool in the UV Editor is a tool that stretches the selected faces in a set projection.


How to Use

  1. Select the face to be stretched. Plane Tool Select Face
  2. Launch the Plane tool.
  3. Set the desired projection in the Projection Axis property. Plane Tool Projection Axis
  4. Click on the Unwrap property. Plane Tool Unwrap Button
  5. The UV face has been stretched to match the projection method you set. Plane Tool Result

Properties

Plane Tool Properties

Individual

This property sets the selected faces to unfold individually. Plane Tool Individual

Projection Axis

Property that sets the projection method. Plane Tool Projection Axis

Normal

This property sets the projection to the average normal orientation of the selected faces.

View

This property sets the projection to the direction you are currently looking.

X

This property sets the projection to the direction of the world's X-axis.

Y

This property sets the projection to the y-axis direction of the world.

Z

This property sets the projection method to the z-axis direction of the world.
