Linear Array Tool

The Linear Array Tool is a tool that duplicates selected elements (Vertex, Edge, Face) and arranges them in a linear direction.


How to Use

  1. Select the element you want to copy.
  2. Run the Linear Array Tool.
  3. Choose Array Type.
  4. Choose Length Type.
  5. Adjust the values as needed.

Array Type

This attribute defines the type of elements affected by the Linear Array Tool.


Array Type: To Elements

Create a new element array within the current mesh

  1. Select a face.
  2. Run the Linear Array Tool. Array Type: To Elements
  3. A new element array will be created within the connected mesh from the selected element.

Array Type: To Object

Create independent objects from the current mesh

  1. Select a face.
  2. Run the Linear Array Tool. Array Type: To Elements
  3. A new independent object array will be created from the current mesh.

Length Type

This determines the position of the last object in the array. There are two types: Total and Interval.

  • Total: The last object is positioned at the distance specified by the Total value.
  • Interval: The last object is positioned based on the angle and batch count.

Direction

The array follows the 3D direction vector originating from the pivot of the original element.

Length

This is the distance between elements.

Batch Count

Sets the number of elements or objects to be created (from 2 to 1000).

Select

Properties that allow you to set how faces are selected.

Backface Select

Allows you to set whether faces facing the opposite direction are selected.

Backface Select Off

When the Backface Select property is off, opposite facing faces are not selected.

Backface Select On

When the Backface Select property is on, opposite facing faces are selected.

Camera Based Select

This property selects only those faces that are visible to the camera.

Camera Based Select Off

When the Camera Based Select property is off, faces that are hidden by the camera are also selected.

Camera Based Select On

When the Camera Based Select property is on, faces that are hidden by the camera are not selected.
