Insert Vertex Tool

The Insert Vertex tool adds a vertex over the desired edge.

To use

  1. Launch the Insert Vertex tool.
  2. Click where you want to add a vertex, above the edge. Insert Vertex Tool
  3. a vertex has been created above the edge. Insert Vertex Tool
tip

Snap to the Insert Vertex tool​

The color of the point is represented by yellow and green depending on the cursor position on the edge.

  • Yellow: Centered on the edge
  • Green: Non-center position on the edge

Properties​

Display​

This property allows you to select how the mesh is displayed.

XRay Mode​

Allows you to make the faces translucent.

Face XRay Mode

Select​

This property allows you to set how edges are selected.

Backface Select​

Allows you to set whether edges facing the opposite side are selected.

Vertex Backface Select Off

When the Backface Select property is off, opposite facing edges are not selected.

Vertex Backface Select On

When the Backface Select property is on, opposite facing edges are selected as well.
