Move Sew Tool

The Move Sew Tool in the UV Editor glues elements associated with a selected UV edge to a shared UV edge.

For a Shared Element​

A shared element is an element that is separated by a UV, but is attached or adjacent to it in the mesh.

UV Color

Shared elements are colored blue (default). Shared Tool Color Blue

How this differs from the Sew Tool​

Sew Tool The difference is that the Sew Tool only moves and joins the selected UV edges, while the Move Sew Tool moves and joins all of the elements associated with the selected UV edges.

How to Use​

  1. Select the UV edges to be connected. Move Sew Tool Select
  2. Run the Move Sew Tool.
  3. The elements associated with the selected UV edge will be moved to the shared UV edge and joined together. Move Sew Tool Result
