Export Tool

The Export tool in the UV Editor is a tool for exporting UV layouts to image files.

note

The reason for exporting the UV layout is to use it in an external image editing program.

How to use​

  1. Run the Export tool of UV Editor.
  2. set the desired properties and press the Export Button. Export Tool Properties Export Button
  3. Specify the path to export the image file.
  4. You can check the created image file in an external program. Export Tool Photoshop

Properties​

Export Tool Properties

Outline Color​

This property sets the UV layout color of the exported image.

Export Tool Outline Color

Transparent Background​

This property sets the background of the exported image to transparent.

Export Tool Outline Color

tip

If you make the UV layout background transparent with a PNG file extension, the exported image file will be better suited for use in programs that support layers, such as Photoshop.

Background Color​

This property sets the background color of the exported image.

Export Tool Background Color

note

This does not apply if the Transparent Background property is set.

Resolution​

This property sets the resolution of the exported image.

Export​

The button to finally export the image.
